Geographical and Climatic Advantages:

Geographical and Climatic Advantages:Huoshan Dendrobium officinale Flower Tea originates from Huoshan County, Anhui Province. Nestled in the hinterland of the Dabie Mountains, the region features a mild climate and is perpetually shrouded in mist, making it the genuine origin of Dendrobium officinale. As a National Geographical Indication Protected Product, Huoshan Dendrobium officinale Flower has become a rarity among Dendrobium officinale flower teas, thanks to its unique geographical setting and traditional cultivation techniques.

Dendrobium officinale Flower Tea is a beverage made from the dried flowers of Dendrobium officinale—a plant belonging to the Orchidaceae family. Known as a “treasure among floral teas” for its delicate aroma, unique taste, and high practical value, it is particularly favored by people who focus on daily wellness.

1. Production Process: Meticulous Control to Preserve Core Value

The core of Dendrobium officinale flower processing is “gentle handling and nutrient retention,” which avoids damaging active ingredients with high temperatures. The process mainly consists of two steps:

1) Precise Harvesting

Flowers must be picked when they are fully bloomed but not yet withered. The optimal time is after the morning dew has dried (between 8-10 AM). At this time, the flowers have low moisture content, rich aroma, and the highest concentration of active ingredients such as polysaccharides. Harvesting must be done gently by hand to avoid crushing and damaging the petals. After harvesting, the flowers are immediately sorted to remove damaged blooms and impurities.

2) Low-Temperature Drying

The traditional method uses “air-drying in the shade”: the flowers are spread out in a well-ventilated, cool area and naturally dried for 5-7 days until their moisture content drops below 10%.

2. Brewing Methods: Simple to Operate, Suitable for Multiple Scenarios

Brewing Dendrobium officinale Flower Tea requires no complicated steps and is suitable for hot serving, combined serving, and other scenarios. The specific methods are as follows:

Basic Hot Serving

Take 3-5 grams of dried Dendrobium officinale flowers (about a small handful) and brew them with 85-90℃ hot water. Avoid boiling water to prevent damaging active ingredients. Stir gently and let it steep for 3-5 minutes before drinking. The tea liquor is pale yellow, with a slightly sweet taste and a faint orchid-like fragrance. It can be rebrewed 2-3 times until the aroma fades.

Creative Combinations

With Honey: Once the tea has cooled to below 60℃, add 1-2 spoons of honey. This makes the taste sweeter and enhances the throat-soothing effect, making it suitable for drinking in dry autumn and winter.

With Wolfberries: Add 5-8 pieces of Ningxia wolfberries and brew together. The mild sweetness of wolfberries complements the fresh aroma of Dendrobium officinale flowers, making it ideal for daily office drinking to improve the tasting experience.

With Ophiopogon Japonicus: Add 3-5 grams of Ophiopogon japonicus (a traditional Chinese herbal ingredient). The yin-nourishing property of Ophiopogon japonicus complements Dendrobium officinale flowers, making it suitable for drinking when experiencing dry mouth, dry throat, or throat discomfort.
