Geographical Location: Lincang City is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province. It gets its name from being adjacent to the Lancang River. Situated at the intersection of the Tropic of Cancer and 100°E longitude, it lies at the southern
ends of the Yunling and Nushan mountain ranges, between the two major river systems of the Lancang River and the Nu River.

Climatic Conditions: It has a subtropical low-latitude plateau mountain monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 17.2-18.8°C, an annual rainfall of about 1400mm, and annual sunshine exceeding 2000 hours. The Tropic of Cancer
passes through the region. The whole area enjoys a mild climate, abundant sunshine, low latitude, high altitude, rich water resources, and distinct three-dimensional climate, making it highly suitable for the growth of tea plants.

Soil Conditions: The soils in the Lincang tea area are mostly acidic yellow soil, red soil, and brown forest soil, with a pH value of 4.6-5.5. The soil is fertile and rich in various minerals and trace elements, providing a good soil
foundation for the growth of tea plants.
