Craftship:
This Handcrafted White Porcelain Teacup, inspired by the Chinese bamboo hat, features a clever wide-top, narrow-bottom design. Made of Dehua white porcelain, known as “sheep fat” jade like porcelain, it’s crafted with high temperature firing.
The porcelain has a soft, firm texture, nicknamed “glutinous rice body”. Its color is as warm as jade, translucent and smooth. Under light, it can reflect finger shadows. When tapped, it makes a clear, melodious sound like metal.
Originating from natural kaolin, it can soften water quality, which is beneficial for long-term use. Revered as “China White” by the French, Dehua white porcelain, with its fine craftsmanship and unique style, holds an important place in ceramic history
and is renowned as “Oriental Art.”
